How can one learn to be kind to themselves and look after their mental health and also be relentless and driven in the pursuit of their goals?

Emotional intelligence: a curse?

A young man came to the door trying to sell some goods. He was newly out of prison and now trying to make a living. Dad briefly talked to him before he left. The young man also wanted to chat, but Dad was busy.

Why I don’t want a girlfriend right now:

I no longer feel anger at my past. I feel changed and free, I can do whatever I want.I have the desire for achievement and greatness as my replacement for anger. This is my current state.

A car is not a car because of the individual parts such as wheels, the engine, or the tyres. A car is a car because of the collection, combination, and sum of all parts. It is only with all the parts together in the right place that you can call it a car.
